My jimmy wont go in REVRSE IT DID GO IN TILL I TOOK IT IN OVER THE NOISE IT MADE WHEN I PUT IT IN REVRSE


Hi, the reasin you lost reverse, is a stripped or broken sun reaction shell. This a $30 part, but the labor is what is going to be costly, as the trans has to be removed, and dissasembled. Good luck

It wont shift to the last gear


Sounds right Aamco is a good shop and they know transmission. Your Explorer transmission is a AODE this a electronic controlled transmission. I would be up set that who ever replaced the transmission before may have damaged the wiring to the transmission. Did you get a war. with the first repair.

My 1997 ford explorer overheated and the transmission slipped


Tranny fluid may have been contaminated with coolant since tranny cooler lines go to radiator or condensor.
I would fix your leak on radiator, then completely drain tranny fluid and filter and replace.

Changing transmission filter


nope...nothing will fall down. they used to leave a little plastic "lolly pop" thing in there. if you find one it's nothing ...toss it.Make sure you get all old gasket material off trans and pan. Keep pan clean.

Gearbox auto 4wheel drive


Obtain a fault code from the obd plug, go from there. If there are no strange noises then control unit is faulty. Stupid thing- is the fluid level ok?
