Sounds right Aamco is a good shop and they know transmission. Your Explorer transmission is a AODE this a electronic controlled transmission. I would be up set that who ever replaced the transmission before may have damaged the wiring to the transmission. Did you get a war. with the first repair.
Tranny fluid may have been contaminated with coolant since tranny cooler lines go to radiator or condensor. I would fix your leak on radiator, then completely drain tranny fluid and filter and replace.
nope...nothing will fall down. they used to leave a little plastic "lolly pop" thing in there. if you find one it's nothing ...toss it.Make sure you get all old gasket material off trans and pan. Keep pan clean. good luck
