The A/C bugging out is a pretty common problem with the 4th generation Preludes (1992-1996). Over time some shoddy soldering joints in the climate control unit done at the factory become brittle, and cause the a/c to work intermittently or in some cases (like mine) not at all. There is an excellent write-up on honda-tech.com with very detailed instructions and pictures to help you solve this problem.

With the limited information you gave about the problem I can not guarantee this is your fix, but given that this is such a common problem with us 4th gen. owners it's a good place to start. When I re-soldered my climate control it took me about 1 hour.

I'll check back here should you reply, best of luck getting your a/c back.

check and make sure the radiator is full of antifreeze take off the radiator cap and top off the radiator then take your hand and cover the hole where the cap goes and squeeze the top radiator hose a few times to help it go down that way if there is a air pocket somewhere it will help push it out when you thank your done top off again and replace the cap and try

Vehicle stalls when turning and at highway speed

Check motor mounts and transmission mount
Also check the air tube (TOP AND BOTTOM) for hairline crack.

A loss motor mount can cause excessive vibration and damage the air inlet tube.

Turn ac on and car dies in idle. On highway with cruise on car speed slips a little up and down when trying to maintain a constance speed

The first thing to do is the throttle body needs to be cleaned, grime in this area prevents the throttle plate from closing completely and allowing air to enter, making the air/fuel mixture lean. The highway problem be cleared also.

Air conditioner goes off when fan speed is increased

when it's on 'auto', the fan adjusts according to the temp in the car and the temp setting you have it set at. try setting the auto temp control down to 65, then hit the "-" one more time to send it to "LO" - the fan should automatically jump up to max.

Engine will stall at highway speeds. Usually will

Since the most fuel is used at highway speeds, that is when a mostly clogged fuel filter will show up the most. But it can also be a stuck vacuum relief valve that is supposed to let air into the gas tank. Cap will "whoosh" when removed if that is problem. Carburetor cars can ice up at highway speeds if air intake heater from exhaust manifold not working.
