While driving my car suddenly started sputtering lurching and shaking, then the check engine light came on. I took it to a service station that used to be Chrysler and they fixed it, then 10 minutes after I drove away the whole problem started again. I returned back to the service station they checked it again more thoroughly, tested the sensor, washed down the engine area(which did have some kind of small animal debris), they even test drove it themselves and said they could find nothing wrong. The car appeared to work for about 2 days. Then the sputtering,lurching and shaking happened again and the check engine light came back on. It also appeared to give off a smoky smell. Please help!. I am afraid to drive it anymore. Can you help me. Thanks very much.

This sounds like an intermittent wiring problem. the wires to one of the spark plugs, coils, or fuel injectors may be faulty or damaged. Mice love to chew on wires and you did mention that they found some small animal debris or maybe nesting materials. This will have to be tediously checked out with a multimeter. the good news is, once the damaged wire is found, it can be inexpensively repaired.

code p0320 refers to cam shaft position (CKP) sensor/engine speed (RPM) sensor--circuit malfunction=== causes --wiring--CKP/RPM sensor ---ECM
because the engine runs ok until it is on cruise control I would be investigating the RPM sensor for a fault
The cruise control takes its control from the RPM sensor and if that circuit is interminable the the cruise control doesn't know what rpms to maintain.

2003 Toyota Echo - when in drive and stopped, car shakes and sputters on take off. When driving at full speed, no shaking, but can tell the engine does not feel and sound right - check engine light is on.
The check engine light is telling you the computer is detecting a problem from one or several sensors. You will need to have someone use a scanner to pull the codes. Places like auto zone offer this service for free(they want to sell you parts). Once you find out the codes then you can try and determine what the problem is. Could be anything from a bad plug wire to a plugged fuel filter.

Could be cam sensor, crank sensor, PCM going bad. On these newer vehicles with all the electronics it is hard to pinpoint what it is till the check engine light does come on for it. I would suspect one of the 3 going bad though.

You have a really bad misfire going on. i would not drive the car but if you get it towed you can get the engine codes read which will give you more of an idea on whats going on. Otherwise its just a guess.
