2007 Chevrolet Cobalt Sedan LT Engine won't Start

I have a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt LT that won't start. When I try to start the car the engine will turn over but will not start. I thought it might be the battery but I cleaned the battery posts and made sure it was connected properly, but no luck on starting. Any Ideas?

Thanks

I have a cobalt too and my car had done the same thing..wut my problem was that my fuse had blown out. look at ur fuse box and there should be one that would be for run or crank, check and make shure those arent blown and if not it may be ur fuel pump..ur car may not be getting enough fuel pressure for it to turn on.

I have had the same problem with my car. It is a Nissan, but it could be the same problem, and its easy enough to check yourself. On my car I will be driving and it will just cut out, then the engine turns but doesnt start, what it turned out to be was the screw inside the distributor cap coming loose and rattling around, once I put the screw back on it started right back up. If you have an owners manual to your car find the distributor cap and maybe check that. You will need a screwdriver most likely to get the cover off. Hope that solves the problem.

A leaky fuel pressure valve can cause intermitant problem with this.I have 2005 cobalt that failed to start twice now and im preaty shure that there is no fuel at the time of incident.not sure just yet as if i keep cycling the key three four times to "presurize" the system the car sudenly starts.

2006 chevy cobalt LT. the key is stuck

Have you tried shifting the gears completely through and then putting the car in park. It sounds like the car isn't able to be put completely in park to release the key. Try putting the car in N and removing the key. Even thought the car may not completely be in park to release the key, The gear most likely is in park but not enough to make the switch/sensor to release.

It sounds like there is something very major wrong with your ride. I think it would have something wrong with the fuse box or computer system.
