My '98 boxster has the same issue. When it happens, I gently turn the key back about an eighth of an inch, and everything works fine. It's a fairly common problem. I forget the exact cause - a worn pi in the ignition cylinder or something like that. An additional symptom is that the headlights don't come on - just the 'city lighgts'.

My 2000 taurus windshield wiper not working, all the fuses and relay are good, i check for power all the way to the wiper motor and i had some , could it be the windshield wiper motor

If you have good voltage as well as a good ground to the motor then yes I would say it's the motor that's bad. I hope this helped and good luck.

Windshield wipers quit working in my BMW x5 2000

The first thing i would do would be check the fuses. Look in your owners manual for where the different fuses that might control your windshield wipers. There may be more than one. Check these fuses. If you cannot tell if it is blown by looking at it, check the fuses using a voltmeter set to read continuity.

Look in the fuses, they have wires that are susposed to connect, if they are broken you need to replace that fuse. If the fuses are fine, the motor could be jammed or locked up..
