Question about 1998 Chevrolet Blazer

Front end problem

I just got a 1998 Blazer from a relative. I noticed a clicking/clunking type sound coming from the left front end. He had the right upper and lower ball joints replaced in the past. The left side looked worn so I brought it in and they replaced the left lower ball joint. told me the top was fine. I still have this unpleasant sound from the drivers front when pulling away and making slow turns into driveways and such. Any ideas?

I have a 95 Blazer that makes the same clunking noise when I make a slow turn in my driveway.I jacked it up today and removed the driver side tire.I looked behind the wheel assembly and noticed on the bottom of it there was some metal rubbed off where it meets a square metal piece on the frame.I took a 2lb hammer and smashed the metal piece off.I did this to the passenger side as well.NO MORE CLUNKING NOISES!!!

The clicking sound may be the multifunctional switch, it will probably need to be replaced and will cost about $350-450 to replace

2003 chevy blazer front end howling and also rear clunking.

the howling sound could be a window with a little opening, check if your window was totally closed. the clunkin? or clickin sound you hear could be the road salt or ice thats being thrown to your mud guard by the wheel. anyway an actual inspection is recomended, pep boys can do a courtesy check for free.

Clunking and shuttering 1998 Olds Intrigue

sounds like a bad cv shaft. If there is clicking while making a turn, 90% of the time you will need a new cv shaft. The shudder also denotes a bad cv shaft (front axle) Most axle repairs cost up to $400. If you are charged more, find a new mechanic. if the car feels like it floats back and forth (side to side) Be sure to check the control arm bushings. If you are not sure how to inspect them, visit a service center. Any problem in the suspension should be addressed immediatley. Stay safe.

My guess is a strut bushing/bearing, but have your front end checked out by good shop to make sure it isn't something else more dangerous.
