Question about 1991 Chevrolet Camaro
I have a 91 Camaro RS that starts but wont stay running for longer than 3 minutes. I had a mechanic come look at it and he sprayed something into the filter and it stay running. He then told me that it was fuel related but it was not the fuel pump. Does anyone have a clue what it could be?
In reply: if its not the maf there are 2 relays in the relay box i belive its underhood, 1 primes the fuelline to 32psi the second kicks in after it starts, and keeps it running and varies the psi. if the primer relay isnt kicking in then it wont start due to no fuel

I had that same problem with my 91 RS a year ago. My fuel injectors went bad. I had them replaced and the car runs great now. The total for parts and labor was around $1,000.

I would take an inexpensive pressure gauge and check the fuel pressure it should read about 40psi.when turning key over to on position.if it don't then you need a fuel pump.
