I have the same problem. Diagnosis up to this moment...

    1. Passenger window works fine.

    2. I opened the switch and found the plastic rocker to be worn for one of the contacts.

    3. Tried to manually manipulate the contacts. Heard a click on the dash when one contact was closed. but the window did not move.

    4. Suspect the fuses to be okay because the other window works just fine, but I haven't checked.

I have had this problem for several years. I find that in cold weather it works ok, but in the summertime it gets stuck down. I tested all of the contacts in the switch panel on the door using a multimeter and they appear to be operating correctly. If memory serves me correctly however, there is another electrical connection in a black box somewhere under the center of the dash which is used to control the operation for all of the windows (passenger, rear, etc.) I think this problem - which appears common on 94 Explorers - is somehow related to a malfunction in that unit.

My window is stuck down right now, but because of other problems with the trruck I have not been able to do any further troubleshooting. Once I get it running again I will have another look at the window and post whatever I can find out...

same problem- It is stuck all the way down and all I get is a clicking now. I am told this is not a fuse problem. Has anyone found the fix. Do not want to spend all kinds of money but it is cold.

same problem w/Ford Explorer - driver side of window is down and stuck. Any solution to the problem?

I have the same problem. I took the panel off and removed the motor. However, since the window was down at the time the coil spring shot off and I am not sure how to re-assemble. I reconnected the motor and it works. I cannot find a diagram - even in the shop manual.

BTW, the window seems to only get stuck down if it is taken all the way down - I've never gotten it stuck partway down. So in the summertime I try to remember not to take the driver's side window down completely, just keep it an inch or so up.

On my 2001 kia sportage the back two windows won't go down and the right front window is stuck halfway up

make sure power windows lock out switch on driver side not on position, that will cause power windows not work or you have faulty power window relay.

1996 nissan pathfinder driver side window won't go up and down

does it click or grind when pushing window button if so the window lift track may need replaced, if there are no sounds then disconnect the wires from the lift motor and with the ignition on so power is sent to switch, push button and check wires to 12 volts dc. If no power I would replace the driver side switch after checking the wires for defects. If there is power then I would re-install wires to motor after turning off key and try button again with power on. replace motor if it doesn't work.

2002 power window dodge caravan pass side window wont go up or down. works w/ the main dr side control. where would the fuse be for this component? any other thoughts to fix this cheaply

The only problem with this vehicle is that it needs a new window switch on the passenger side door.If the main switch on the drivers door works and the one on the door that the window won't go up on won't work it replace the switch on that door they all work on the same fuse.

If it does not make any noise, or sound like its getting any power, most likely its the switch.

2000 GMC Jimmy SLE driver's power window

The same thing happened to my 1999 JMC Jimmy recently. I believe the problem is that your power window motor has most likely gone out or is starting to go out. The motor will need replaced. They are pretty expensive new. I went to a junkyard and got one for around 15 dollars. When mine went bad, I had rolled my window down about three or four inches and it stuck there. I took my door panel off and tapped on the motor while holding up on the window switch and got it to go up after a few minutes. I am replacing my motor today, I'll leave an update here about the outcome when I finish the job. I hope this information helps you.
