My husbands Dodge Ram 1500 stopped working - was told it was the PCM which he had to locate from a dealer in VT - we live in FL. But that was not the complete problem - we are now told he needs a PDC and there are none available - they are backordered. We have not had that truck in 5 weeks. I don't know what to do

Starter Relay is located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) next to the Battery, under the hood. It should be labeled. On the PDC as to which relay is for what circuit. It should be one of the 5 larger relays laied out in a backwards L closest to the battery side. 1 down from the top of the backwards L. is the best description I can give you
There is a bulletin from Chrysler that they had problems with water leakage and shorting out the LED. My dealer told me about it and ordered 2 new mirrors and am going there tomorrow to have them installed for no cost. Contact your dealer.
THE FRONT CONTROL MODULE IS LOCATED ON THE END OF THE UNDERHOOD FUSEBLOCK..YOU MUST REMOVE 1 BOLT FROM FUSEBLOCK AND 1 PLASTIC CLIP..SLIDE FUSEBLOCK BACK..FCM IS ATTACHED WITH 4 SCREWS TO FUSEBLOCK..PCM IS LOCATED ON RIGHT SIDE OF FIREWALL OF ENGINE COMPARTMENT..I HOPE THIS HELPS
Removed cluster from dashboard and unplugged & turned the whole cluster clockwise very slowly and needle started moving from 150 mph back down to 0 mph when rotation was completely done. Kept cluster upright while re-installing and plugged back in the plugs on back and everything was fine. Called local Dodge dealer and told me would take 30-45 minutes to reset and would cost approximately $70 to fix. Took about 8-10 minutes of my time and saved myself $70. This may not work for everyone but this was my amazing quick fix thanks to GOD for giving me this thought to try this.
More than likely problem is with rear speed sensor. It is located on top of rear differential. New from dealer is about $35.00. A lot of the time you can remove the old one and give it a good cleaning. Easy to repair but just be careful that you dont break it off.
Your keyless/security system may have been damaged by the spikes. But, assuming you've already checked all the fuses, I would start by having the alternator tested. I would also check the alternator wire connection to the power distribution center (pdc). It can loosen and cause different problems.
