How to remove vcr 2000 olds silhouette - 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette

take off the cap
remove the hose underneath the radiator
put your hosepipe in the radiator cap
and allow water to flow through till its clear
then replace the radiator hose and refill with coolant

Had the same problem - 1st gear worn out. You'll need a ****** rebuild.
Was told its not unusual for that GM trans.

Just unplug the connector, remove two retaining screws, pull out old one and replace. The resistor will be mounted somewhere on the heater case. Good luck.

2000 Olds Silhouette: plenty of gas in the tank but the gage will read full, 3/4 full, 1/2 full, and everywhere in between. Van runs fine. No other issues except the gage goes crazy and can't depend on what it says. ...

Possibly fuel filter is clogging.Replace it.Have fuel pressure checked first to make sure it's up to specs.

Remove the two front motor mounts mounted on the frame above the radiator.This is not a weight bearing mount it is for vibration. The engine will not move much once removed. Ratchet the motor forward using a ratcheting strap hooked to the black arm that extends above the motor located on the right side. Remove the serpentine belt. Remove the two mounting bolts on the face of the alternator and the one behind the alternator. Remove the connections and alternator. To reinstall, reverse the process. You will not have enough clearance to remove the alternator without ratcheting the motor forward.

there is no easy way car manufacturers make cars for Assembly not for repair, sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear but its true. that said it may be better to look at it from underneath but please follow all the safety instructions in the owners hand book before going under your car

i have fixed these probles b4, the wiring for these vans are bad at the factoy connectors, at the front right pass door,remove the kick plate, on the floor, lift up the carpet by the seat and remove the wiring cover and check for bad connections [looks like black duct tape]

disconnect the battery. remove the leads from the alt. remove serpentine belt. then remove botls from alt. installation is in reverse order.
