This could be as simple as worn track rod ends, get a reputable garage to check them, some tyre fitters may also be able to check.

Mitsubishi Airtrek 2001 steering wheel keeps dropping down we took the surrounding covers off to have a look and see the sliders that the height adjuster sits in had come off so we were able to sit them...

"... won't line up to be screwed" suggests the column has shifted backwards. Try to move it forwards to get the bolts to line up. You may need to pull off some dash covers to see what it out of place.

Takeuchi mini digger tracking problem

Pressure valve? does it only do it to only one side? Left or right. The reason you move both tracks with the bucket running is because you relieve pressure. One side is free wheeling, As they call it. I work on cars, But also have done to many hydraulic components. You have a pressure control valve that is bad.

I have a freelander 2001, got a rumble when driving and when going round roundabouts the noise transfers to passenger front and sounds like thudding. Noise in time with road speed not engine. Have changed...

first check tyre tread, remove objects in tread as these can cause some of the symptoms, others are the bearing and tracking and steering idler, also can be a lose wheel, another thing to check is the discs look for broken or warn pads stones can get in and damage the pad or twist the pad in turn can make a rumbel. ( if you brake and the rumble stop it can be this part that's wrong) bearings and tracking jack up the wheel and test with a wiggle from 12-6 and 9 to 3 on the wheel if makes a sound or moves excessively then this can be the bearing has failed and needs replacing if this is fine check the the tracking and idler pull on the tracking arm if you feel a clunk then its weak and needs replacing same on idler. hope this helps

1999 toyota 4 runner vibration and or above 60 any ideas

The first thing that would come to mind is tire balance, have the tires been balanced? If not then do that first, if yes and the vibration can be felt in the seat of the truck and not much in the dteering wheel then I would have the driveshaft closely inspected, a worn u-joint may not be evident by just trying to move it around by hand, the driveshaft should be removed to check them. Obviously if the vibration is only when applying the brakes then it's neither of those and the brakes need attantion.

What does low track mean when it keeps poping up.

It means you have traction control. When it comes on, you are losing traction to one of your drive wheels and the traction control is activated to keep you moving. In other words, it's doing its job. Sounds like its working well too.

Why do my antiloks engage when the wheels spin in awd?

The vehicle computer's Traction Control System (TCS) has detected wheelspin on one or more wheels that's greater than the detected speed of the vehicle. That is, it knows you're spinning the tires and not going anywhere (or not really going that fast). It compares the rotation of all wheels to that of the slowest moving wheel (or slowest wheel that has a sensor), and slows down the faster of the bunch. Since it's not a full-time 4-wheel drive (where all wheels move the same speed all the time), it allows some wheelspin for outside wheels around corners, but keeps the wheels in check with the brakes. Some Traction Control Systems rely on cutting engine power to stop wheelspin, while others activate the brakes on the faster-moving wheels.

Sunroof will not close

It could be the motor, get someone to keep the activator pushed down and try pulling the sunroof into position. Some times they can be missing the runners and just need a little pull, the sunroof runs on a grooved track and a grooved wheel marries to the track, if this doesn"t work see if you can gain access to the wheel, that may be worn but can be replaced.

03 Ford up and down in power seat

Had this same issue with my 2004 Expedition. I removed the seat, seat motor and seat track. I tested the motor by plugging back in but without the track and was spinning freely. Took the track to the Ford Dealer. Was able to speak to a service tech. Said it is not the motor it’s the track, it gets stuck if you move to the extremes of the up or down. It’s like over tightening a jar stuck and unable to open again. WHAT TO DO: there are to impellor rods the spin on both sides of the motor. The rods look like wound up springs. Reconnect the rods back in the track. Use your Electric drill to hold the other end of the to break free the stuck track by spinning the impellor rod. Do this for both side. make sure to align the rods properly before return the motor. Also, try not to fully extend the power seat to the very up or down of the track. This will keep from causing the stuck jar effect. ONE and DONE.. Hope this helps.

Steering wheel alignment

Expect Kwik Fit have adjusted the tracking / wheel alignment at some time, and adjusted one track rod more than the other. ?

Count the threads showing ! ...I expect this will become apparent.

You need to have the tracking / alignment rechecked with track rods even lengths both sides.

Then if you road test and find the steering wheel out of alignment, remove steering wheel, and move round the correct position on the steering column splines.

Hope this is of help.

Good Luck !
