WHAT ARE THE SPECS FOR FUEL PRESSURE, HOW MANY P.S.I SHOULD I HAVE IN FUEL LINE? 89 NISSAN P/U 2.4L

Generally speaking, modern gas fuel injected systems average 30-40+ psi. Older carburator engines only required 3-7 psi. High pressure in the injector helps atomize the fuel for better air-fuel mix. Check maufacturers specs and use proper tools to measure fuel pressure. Eye protection recommended.

Fuel pump is pumping fuel to carb, but no fuel going into carburator. can dump gas directly into carb and car will fire up. is there some kind of pump not functioning inside carburator

there is a float valve. There may also be a filter on the inlet. First check for filter, then remove top from float bowl to see why fuel isn't flowing in. You may want to get a rebuild kit. they aren't expensive and they usually come with instructions.

I would like to change a carburated 89 accord to fuel injection.

Unless you have a junk car to get ALL the parts to swap. its not worth the time and money. From the fuel tank, lines, int manifold, distributor, wiring harness, vac hose harness, computer, ect, the list goes on. If it runs OK leave it alone, If not, find another car.

83 Honda Accord fuel pump turns on and off erratically and you can here it clicking, cold start rpms at 2500 to 3000, after it warms up it dies when I come to a stop. Carburated with fuel pump in tank. No...

on a 83 its a external fuel pump, mounted in front of the fuel filter right in front of the drivers side rear tire, sounds like a bad pump or a bad relay or also could be the oil pressure switch that tells the fuel pump to kick in

89 honda accord lx with carb. is burning too rich or using to much gas.

your honda needs carborator service and tuning, if you want to do something by yourself than remove the airfilter case and find a small screw on the carburator, at the backside, turn it clockwise to reduce the gas ratio

89 accord always idles at 3000rpm

Either the carb is misadjusted, or you have a vacuum leak somewhere letting in unmetered air.

sounds like a fuel filter or more likely a fuel pump fault.low fuel transfer pressure, possibly a dealer would be cheaper than a diy repair unless you have the diagnosis correct.
