the problen is probably the turn signal switch with a test light check for power at brake switch if no power check for power at turn signal switch the brake lights are incorperated through the turn signal switch

I think your solution is right on. After further investigating my problem, I found that after pressing the hazard flasher switch several times, sometimes my turn signals would work sometimes they would not. I fixed my problem by replacing the multifunction (HF, TS, wiper) switch, but I think your solution might have worked and saved me dollars.

try checking the brake light switch attached to the brake pedal,very common problem. has about 5 contacts in it ,they all operate different things. If you have a scan tool with live data readings you can watch them all. also check fuses and bulbs ,but you say the signals work so that seems ok.

ed7882 I had the same exact problem and thought it was a fuse or the wiring. Come to find out it was just a blown bulb. They are inline together with the cruise so if one blows it all goes. So change out the lights and that should fix it for you.
