Turn signal does not return - Grand Caravan Dodge Cars & Trucks

It could be several things, since it is all the turn signals, not just one side or the other it narrows down possibilities. Your relay may be dying. You can swap a relay with another already in the box. Just switch one beside it from another plug(verify the numbers are the same. ) If this isn't the problem, then go for the the controller; replace your turn signal control. It is fairly easy to replace and not more than about $50.00.

To get that to work you will have to replace the whole turn signal switch. The switches arent that expensive, and installation is pretty simple.

Usually a problem with the return catch in the steering column. On most models there is a metal tab on the shaft that strikes the tabs on the switch.
You might be able to remove the turn signal switch and check it out.

you need to replace the turn signal switch there is a tab on the tip that get pushed by a canceling cam most gm dealers can get it for you i have a couple but i don't ship or take checks

there's a little plastic piece inside the turn switch called a cancelling cam that broke or quit working. The only fix to get switch to return is replacing the turn signal switch. I don't think you can buy the part separately.

if you can use a screwdriver and find a repacement indicator stalk assembly you can fix it yourself ! sounds like the plastic flex return has broken off the indicator stalk (common problem ) remove plastic shroud from steering column. 2 screws will hold the indicator stalk in place remoove those & unplug the electrical connection- replace with new indicator stalk

usually it's on left turns correct? you need to remove the steering wheel to access the signal switch.there is a return spring that's mounted on the switch that breaks. you really need a puller and other specialty tools to do this repair

The steering wheel will need to be removed and inspected. Most likely the switch is bad and will need to be replaced. Only an inspection will determine what actually broke or fell apart

Unfortunately the entire switch must be replaced. When you pull the steering wheel to accss the switch, make sure the cam is not worn out that activates the return. The switch usually wears out on the return but I have seen the cam worn out.
