How to replace window regulator driver side 2001 hyundia sonta

Before you condemn the regulator, test for power at the power motor plug. If it does, and the regulator doesn't go up or down your problem is gear on direct drive or plastic chain on non-direct drive. But if non above mention is the problem then it's the regulator assembly that needs to replace. Follow this removal procedure with the special spoon frying tool remove door paneling gently, to avoid damage on pop up clips, remove window switch control, remove grab handle control, electrical harnesses and finally, you will see the entire view of your mission. Note: the window must be on down position to be able the glass first, next is your window regulator assembly. Good luck to you.

Can a bad fuse be the problem if only one window doesnt work? seems like there is no power getting to the left rear window where is the fuse located for the drivers side rear window switch?

Most likely the switch assembly for that side. My son had the same issue with his
81 Mercedes. These switches are special as they feed power from front window
switch to the rear window switch and is sold as an assembly. may carry it for you.

1996 towncar driver side window wont go back up. I can hear the motor as I push the lever back but nothing when i push it forward. All the other windows work fine. In previous months I had to push for an...

If you hear the motor, and the window does not go up, you need what is called a window regulator. You can but them sometimes with out a motor to save a few dollars, but I don't recommend it. Buy the one with the motor already in it. It can be a trip to install your motor on the new regulator.

Also this is not a terribly expensive labor charge to install, you do need a little expertise and some special tools to install it so I would recommend you take it to a shop you trust.

Hope this helps.

Car: 1989 Subaru GL Wagon AWD Problem: Passenger power window doesn't work solutions that failed: Remove interior door panels and check electric cables- cables were good and don't have electricity....

Violethaze, (someone used all of the purple haze?) You're real close. If the window operates from the main switch at the drivers seat then you probably have dirty contacts on the pass. switch.
If this is the case then take the panel off again, remove the switch from the panel and carefully remove the top from the electrical portion. Don't lose the spring! Remember - they put it together so it will come apart using the special tool #002 (Pocket screw driver). These are non-serviceable parts but I've cleaned lots of them. After you get the switch apart, you'll see the brass teeter-totter (TT) pieces with the contacts attached to them. Clean the TT contacts with an emery board and scratch the corrosion from the other contacts with your special tool. Lube it, snap it back together, plug it back into the wiring and test it before the final re-assembly.
Hope this helps

1996 chrysler concorde, how to take off the inner tie rod?

I used this website: It worked perfectly. To add to it, I used a tie rod puller tool rented from Oreilly Auto Parts for only a few bucks, to press the old bushing out of the inner-tie-rod end. Worked very well. Easier than removing the entire tie rod, and hammering it out. However, removing the entire tie rod would make re-assembly easier. If I did it again, I would strongly consider removing the driver side tie rod from the car, then attaching the inner tie rod end 1st. Meaning, attach the passenger side inner tie rod 1st, then the driver side inner tie rod with new bushing, then re-attach the drivers side outer tie rod. That would probably be the easiest way on this 1996 dodge concorde, due to the fuel line that's in the way....

Ignition switch

You need to remove the shroud so you can see the whole lock assembly.Once this is removed you should see a little silver retainer pin. While pushing in on the pin, rotate the lock with the key in it, until you feel the pin drop in. At this point you can start to pull the lock out. You may need a torx driver to unscrew some of the bolts, but there are no special tools needed to actually remove the lock assembly , besides a working key.
