You say "relay blows out" do you mean stops working or starts making a clicking noise? Also what year is the truck?, do you have dual fuel tanks? Any detailed information on the problem would help greatly in trying to correct problem.

The relay blows after 15-20 minutes of driving because there is an unusually large current draw somewhere in the fuel electrical system. The gauge in the dash is normally hooked in directly with one of the fuel pumps, you did say your truck had 2 pumps,so it sounds like the other pump is bad,or a power wire involved in the circuit is shorted to ground,or intermittently shorting to ground.Look for wires where the insulation is chafed off completely,or check the wires with an ohm meter for continuity. The pump should also be checked with an ohm meter,as if it's shorted out internally, same symptom. Also look carefully at the power wires leading into the power distribution box where the relay is that keeps blowing.Check all the fuses involved with the fuel sytem also, and make sure they are in good condition and the correct amperage rating for the circuit..

2010 f150 wont start will turnover but no start cant hear the fuel pump start either

sounds like either the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump itself has gone out. check fuse panel first then check fuel pump relay. if those are good then check power leads to pump at tank and if you have power there then the pump has probably failed. hope this helps. Chris

Truck stalled out while driving will not start

Not sure about your truck older Fords have 2 fuel pumps 1 in the tank & 1 under cab drivers side. Anytime you change a pump you must change your filter. also check your fuel line if it has been pinched or has a leak pressure will drop

1995 ford f150 fuel pump

Your truck is fuel injected. On the fuel delivery rail in the engine compartment there is a cap you can take off to check for fuel pressure. Hook a mechanical gage to it and check to make sure the fuel pump is working. Also if you have a dash switch to change over to the different tanks check it. Often these switches become bad and the fuel will not flow. The switches are about $ 40.00 dollars. To replace the fuel pumps you must drop the fuel tanks and remove each fuel pump from the tank. The cost for the pumps alone will be about $300.00 to $ 500.00 depending on who you purchase them from. The universals are cheaper, but the Ford pumps are an exact match and you can change them with out any problems.
