Speedometer no working

In the tailshaft of the transmission is the speed sensor,most likely the speed sensor has gone bad.Test or replace as necessary,and check the wires at the speed sensor also.Also look for leaks at the end of the tailsahft.If the tailshaft bushing or case bushing is worn excessively,the output shaft will travel too far from the speed sesnor,causing a no speed signal condition.
