    I have fault code P3130 reported plus code P0101 - symptoms are really sluggish performance. Revs run high but acceleration is very poor. Not so noticable on the level but even slight inclines on the motorway and the car tops out at 60 MPH - even in 3rd with pedal to the floor.

You have a bad mass air flow sensor. unplug the mass air flow sensor, the car will run normal if the sensor is bad

Engine diagnostic codes for volkswagon beetle


First one is 17978 -ECM blocked By Immobiliser. there is something wrong with car key or imobiliser. try with second key. If problem presist, go to diler on diagnostic tool. all the rest are for glow plugs. change them.

you probably need to get the feul common rail tested, the diesel pumps are also known to give trouble on that model car

i can walk u through doing a t belt. But if u are not sure if u are able to do it DO NOT DO IT cause if u are wrong if cause a lot of engine damage.

[yes ]is the simple answer, a turbo starved of engine oil pressure even for a short period of time can blow the turbo; fit a new or a good second hand turbo.[hint]when testing a second turbo put your finger inside the turbo and spin it .a good turbo should spin quite easly for 3/4seconds with no noise.hope this helped you.adrian
