Mine starts, but sometimes it cranks (Battery light comes on) and stresses to turn on! Put new battery, but still...

Think its the solonoid (sp?) ???

Its a 2003 , so I figure the problems are just beginning on it.

I have a 2000 Ford Explorer V-8 5.0 liter Eddie Bauer. I just bought a new battery, and a new starter. The vehicle will not turn over when I try to start it. The starter sounds like it just isn't getting enough power to turn the flywheel over. The starter is new and the contacts are perfectly cleaned. I have read some of the postings and some of the people are stating it might be the positive battery cable that runs to the starter, has corroded on the inside and just doesn't have enough current running through it?

2001 GMC jimmy won't start. New starter, new

If the starter motor is turning the problem may be a broken flywheel tooth. If starter is not engaging the solenoid may be bad or not hooked up but that seems unlikely since starter was replaced. The problem's down there. If solenoid not clicking then problem may be further back.

Had a new starter put in and now it won't start . It won't make no sound

Is the fusible link at the positive battery cable not burnt and melted? To check positive battery from battery to starter, get a meter and test positive end at starter and ground other end, should get a reading of 12.6 or near to be good.

2001 jaguar s-type won't crank battery new and charged. Turn the ignition car won't make a sound

many things will cause no start problems could have faulty ignition switch.use test light see if power going to starter if not check ignition fuse to starter.if power going to starter, more likely starter solenoid or starter faulty.if ignition fuse okay and starter and solenoid okay still no start problem could be in the ignition switch or inhibitor switch faulty.code scan for faulty theft security system which will also cause no start conditions.

Hello. My 1997 Chevy Tahoe refuses to start. The problems began with a bad fuel pump. I changed. It worked. The fuel pump died again. I changed it again and it has been working. I parked it for two weeks....

Now you have a good battery & a starter that turns over the motor

Have you cycled the key on & off with a fuel pressure gauge on the
fuel rail?

Do you have a fuel filter that isn't over 3 or 4 years old?

Have you checked for spark while cranking ? Use an old plug on the wires,
if you have ignition wires, don't ground the wire without resistance

If you removed the ducting & MAF Sensor it won't start

Tell us what you checked & exactly how that was done.

My darango won't start, replaced that alternator and relays. starter is still good. but it won't even click over.

this could be as simple as a bad battery have you tryed to jump start it? if you try and that dosent work make sure you have power going to the starter with jumper cables on the battery. it should at the very least make a clicking sound while trying to start it check the battery posts also make sure they are clean and if it does click give it a minute and try starting it again.[ dont take the cables off the battery while waiting] the fact the starter doesent even click when you try to start it tells me no power to it or bad starter remember just because its new dosent mean it works i cant tell you how many times i have put somethig on a car and had to take it back off because it didnt work from the boxx new. and make sure the starter wires are tight and clean. if no clicking and you have power to starter then starter is bad.. i hope this helps..
