Its faulty fuel pump and clogged fuel filter. In your vehicle the fuel pressure is low,due to this faulty fuel pump and clogged fuel filter,so its not starting. But it starts when you spray liquid in intake. The liquid directly goes to engine so vehicle starts.Replace the fuel pump and filter. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
you are wrong with your solution,,, there is plenty of fuel at the rail,,,,, the a/c currcuit is blowing the 10a fuse,,, and the bmc won't allow the injectors fire,,, I know it sounds wierd but thats what it is,,,,I but a new fuse in and it starts ,,,I take the fuel out , it cranks but won't start,, I put it back in it starts,,, I did this 6 times,, and same results,,,,,,,,,,,,,every mechanic wants you to change the fuel pump because it the most costly thing to do,,,,
In most of the such cases its fuel pump and fuel filter the culprit.Yes it sounds weird. But once again thank you for keeping updated, with the exact fault detection.Thanks.Helpmech.
Thanks.

I found the problem,,,,, its not the passlock, it not the spark,,its not the fuel pump,,,the problem with these cars is,, the air compressor clutch is shorting out and blowing the fuse,, and for some reason the currcuit sends a signal to the bcm,,, and if it dosn't get that signal it won't let the fuel injectors fire, at start up,,,,,I know it sound bazzare,,,,so check that fuse and see if it is ok,,,,,,and if it keeps blowing the fuse,, disconnect the wiring connection at the a/c compressor for a few days,, the the fuse doesn't blow,,, then the short is in the a/c compressor clutch,,,, have that fixed,,,,
thats why no mechanic can figure this,, no start problem on these cars,,,,,,,, because who would ever thing the a/c currcuit would ever have something to do with starting a car,,,,,,even GM don't know this,,,,, or if they do,, they are just ripping people off,,, by telling them to change,,, the fuel pump,,, and filter,,,and sensor,,,,,,check your fuse,,, I believe it is fuse 37,, in the fuse box,,,
I've been racking my brain out for months literally, i got an 02 alero w/3.4L that would'nt start unless I sprayed in some starter fluid into it., i checked everything fuel pump, filter, ign.mod, crank sensor, temp sensor, relays, fuel presssure regulator, ign. switch, injectors, nothing made sence as to why it wouldn't start by it's self unless I sprayed SFin to the throtlebody then the car would runn fine and start all day long until the next morning and I had to start the whole rutine over again. I did as you said , unplugged the A/C comp. replaced that fuse which I had replaced many times before and never thought was ever related....the car kicked right over first try....THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!! I dreaded having to take the car to dealer and getting ripped off by being told what everyone else has posted chang e this change that try this try that and thank you for your money
