    main headlight dim wont work

  • gidr99 Dec 26, 2008

Had some new european round bmw style headlights installed., the marker lights work and this is this ring around the main headlight the glows blue, but the head light itself is not working. However, when you turn on the high beams they work. I don't know if it was installed wrong or if it needs a different type of bulb. They are installed on a 1995 Mustang GT

To all, check your dim bulbs. Make sure they aren't burnt out. If they aren't, time to see if your dimmer/turn signal switch is the problem. For the switch, take it to a mechanic or see if someone else will help ya. Wiring isn't my best subject in autos.

Headlights wont work on dim, only bright

Check your head light bulbs, your truck has the dual filiment headlight bulbs one per side which does both high beam and low beam, 9007 bulbs.
If the low beam filiments are burned out only the high beam will work.
Also look into finding out if the headlight switch is gone bad.
The headlight module and or drl module maybe defective.

Problem should be in the multifunction turn signal assymbly. It controls the headlights, and flasher.

Sounds like the head light relay is bad . Have you ever checked the headlight bulbs?

Headlights wont come on and bright lights won't stay on hold bright light switch and blower works

I had the same problem. The solution is simple; the ignition switch needs to be replaced. This is an easy do-it-yourself project. Here are instructions:

Check for a switch on ebay, they are about $15. After 10 years they wear out.

Main headlights wont work but bright headlights do I have a 2006 Gand Prix and at times my day time running lights and my dim headlights go out or will not come on. I have replaced the Multi-Function...

these switches operate on copper slide and most times these slides get corroded with a green substance that a simple sand paper job will take care of however there are a lot of part so have a mechanic do it
