Hi again,

Appreciate the "Ask Me". With your indulgence, I would also be posting this reply in your original post here.

The fuel pump is inside the fuel tank as shown in diagram below.

Vacuum leak could of course cause poor performance on take off on engine speed below 3000RPM. Another indicator of a vacuum leak is slight above normal idling with the exhaust fumes hurting to the eyes.

Where is the fuel pump located on a 2011 Nissan Juke SV and is it hard to replace?

It's in the gas tank. If you have the right tools it's not hard to replace. But you really need a lift or several floor jacks to lower the tank.

Sorry forgot to mention, when trying to start with starter running fuel pump won't run

Hi Ed:
I don't know what vehicle you're dealing with, but when you turn the ignition to "on" you should be able to hear the fuel pump (provided it's electric) running. After a few seconds, the sound will change, indicating that the system is pressurized. Even if the fuel pump does not run while the starter is engaged, there should be enough residual pressure to provide start=up fuel.
Hope this helps.

Where is the fuel pump located?

Inside the fuel tank. Check the fuse, relay, and is the security light on constant. Just things to consider before replacing a $200+ pump.

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes?
Are you missing anything besides fuel, meaning, engine cranking you have spark at the plugs and fuel injector pulse? If your missing all three, have to check crank and cam sensor signals.
I need model year to look up wiring diagram for fuel pump and relay.

Engine firing order

If the leads or not correct for the firing order you will have a pronounced miss/ back fire or hard to start. If the fuse to the fuel pump keeps blowing then the pump is shorting out or is drawing too much current in it's operation. Acceleration will demand a plentiful supply of fuel and if the pump is having problems replace the pump . have the fault codes read and have a fuel pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check -filter and fuel regulator operation

I have a 2000 hyundai elantra and it wont start not getting gas cant hear the fuel pump to i thought id look for the inertia switch but have not manual and dont know where it is can you help?

Hello Jeanette: My name is Roger and I will help you. Your car does not have an inertia switch that can be reset. Check the fuses and also make sure the fuel pump relay works. The relay is located in the passenger compartment relay box. Should say relay box on the cover. If all are in working order you will need to test the fuel pump itself. You do not need to remove the fuel tank to do this. Remove the rear seat lower cousion from the car. Remove the inspection cover to gain access to the pump. Unplug the harness and check for voltage when the key is turned on. SHould you have power at the pump plug ? the most likely problem is the fuel pump. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answere. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Engine cranks fast, I do not smell gas or hear fuel pump running. Have 75,000 miles on car. I ran low on gas and refilled tank and now I have trouble starting my LS. The cars gas filter is not 5,000 miles...

Usually, the reset is located in the trunk. Check the fuel pump fuse. Check the fuel pump relay if equipped. You can also turn your key to acc for 7 seconds, turn it off. Turn it on, and off. This will prime the fuel pump. If you don't hear it at all, it is probably bad. Some are located in under the back seat and some, the fuel tank has to be taken off. The pump needs to have 12V, in order to work correct.
