I have problem with my car, Started my 1999 Land Cruiser the other morning and the ABS light stayed on and a high-pitched squeel came from the dash. Brake pedal went to the floor. Dealer just advised that the ABS Actuator Assembly & Master Cylinder have to be replaced. Cost: $2,500. Sound familiar? and at master brake they have leak ( brake Oil ) and we change the O ring but we use Vitton O ring Taiwan maker, only 3 month after that be like that again, so do you have any recomend.

Hi There. Have the exact same problem on my 95mod petrol with the sub fuel tank not emptying. think it may be the relay but cant find it. The earlier models have the relay in the rear wheel well, but ours are set up differently. had the whole car to pieces but still cant find it. Was wondering if you had any luck with yours and could enlighten me. Thanks firstname.lastname@example.org
I believe what your hearing is your ABS system working .. its probably one of those that is just a little louder than it should be. drive it a while and see if it works out .. if not take it back and tell them the ABS is loud and see what they say.. thanks Jerry
try looking for it on www.books4cars.com They have both repair manuals and the owners manual. On their site, top left, select Toyota, on the next page at top enter year xxxx, on next page type in Land Cruiser, all books will be listed on that page
91-97 Land Cruisers had a factory option for front and rear locking differentials. This is a seperate switch and is usually located to the left of US model Land Cruisers. The center dash button locks your transfer case differential changing your Land Cruiser from all wheel drive to four wheel drive depending if you have ABS or not this button either says ECT or Center Dif Lock. If you do not have the Front/Rear locking differential option then your Land Cruiser has open Front and Rear. Hope this answers your question.
