I've read alot that a drainage line from the sunroof plugs up and can be blown out with an airhose, but I don't know where the line is.

Sunroof Opens Automatically

as a florida resident for over 30 yrs and a mechanic I'm Not a big fan of sunroofs I'm a convertible man. a sunroof can be a real problem and costly to repair. may I suggest pulling the fuse and not using the this feature as they are prone to leaking. this situation sounds dangerous and should be off line until a solution is found.

The paint on the roof is cracking. During rain storms there seems to be leaks. Carpet would be wet as well as ceiling and seats.

Do you have a sunroof?? you are probably leaking at your sunroof if you have one... sometimes the seals just wear out it is a common problem... you can go into a shop and ask if they can take a smoke machine to it and see if they can find it...

2006 hummer h3 has a leak on passenger side under the dash during a rain storm

My 06 was leaking during rain also. It turned out to be the sunroof. There are two drain tubes in the front of the sunroof that run the water down the corners to the ground and two drain tubes that drain water out the back corners. The water would seep around the glass, which is expected, but both of the tubes on the front of mine were plugged, and the water would overflow behind the dash and fill my floorboards. If my H3 was leaning to the left during a storm then the drivers side would be full of water. If leaning right, then the passenger side. I had to open sunroof and blow compressed air into the drain holes to clear them, but be careful, too much air will separate tubes from sunroof and then you will have to remove the inside paneling around sunroof to get to tubes and reconnect. You may only have one side plugged. you can test it by opening sunroof and pour a little water in the small catch pan in the front of the sunroof and see if it drains as expected (to the ground under the firewall on left AND right side). You can see the holes in each corner of catch pan to drain the water. Plug one with your finger, then the other to find the plugged side. Good luck!! Hope this helps!!

I replaced my sunroof a little over a year ago. Last week we had a bad rain storm and water was leaking in from the lights on the roof. My waranty has expired and looking for some advice. P.S. I never even...

It will have to be resealed!
If you are keeping it for a few more years i would advise you have it removed & resealed properly! [RUST]
I cant see any reason to get a sunroof as you are looking at the road I HOPE! lol
