1999 Ford Explorer xlt

My ford explorer is shaking especially when i am on heavy traffic like stop and go. Sometime when i star the engine it make like a noise like if something is lose or a belt. Also when i turn my light at night or the Air condition the explorer lose power please help me out any suggest??? I think ford should call a recall on this vechiles. With the service that Ford car had given to me. I will rather go for a Dodge Durango next time as my vechiles. Ford are the worst car ever. Ford got beautiful suv but will they hit 5 to 9 years mechanical problem come.

If your car is losing power, then turning on the air conditioner will make it seem like you are losing more. The air conditioner uses a couple of horsepower. Take the car to Autozone and ask them to check for engine codes - I assume that the engine light is on? I think that it is an O2 sensor.
P.S. My opinion is that Ford Explorer is one of the best cars I have ever owned (I have had three). What I hear is that the Dodge is a much more problematic piece of machinery. Of course that is only my opinion.

I have a 99 ford explorer and the power windows have stopped working fuse and relay are good. I can't locate the power window module, any suggestions would be helpful.


Same thing happened to my drivers side. I have a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT. Mechanic found a broken wire in the wiring boot that runs from the door to the body. Spliced wire back together. Fixed the problem.

Replace rear wiper arm


there is a cover at the base lift it up and then you have a nut. 10mm remove this and pull off the arm. sometime they get stuck and you will have to pry it up.

sounds like a wiring issue. I'd start by checking the wires around the radio and see if they are chaffed or broken.

oil pump maybe tired or bearings worn out, try more heavy grade oil, if that helps sounds like bearings, and maybe an overhaul is needed, keep oil changed reg and just drive it
