Question about 2004 Volkswagen Golf
I had my 2003 Golf checked by a mechanic with a VAG-COM for an airbag light. The diagnosis was a bad seatbelt "pre-tractor". Since it was such a simple repair I decided to replace it myself. However, as I'm sure many of you may already know, the indicator light is still on.
My question is... Is there a way to reset the indicator light WITHOUT a VAG-COM? Can I just disconnect something long enough to allow the memory to blank out?
I work with military electronics and wiring for a living so I have some skills. I'm willing to give just about anything a shot.
To mask or reset that code you need a man with a box
As there are hundreds of codes being scanned peiodically by the EMU the laptop is the only tool which will do checks and modifications to it.
On some of the newer cars you have to get the dealer to reset the codes if you do an oil change as there is a sensor in the sump which tells the EMU that the sump has been drained ?
All about making sure you go back to the dealer!!

SORRY. But is not possible to clear the SRS light on your VW.
The only way is with a capable COMPUTER DIAGNOSTIC.
for more time you remove the battery the light will stay on.
And if you remove the battery maybe your Radio will Ask for CODE.
But . Really you will need to catact a MECHANIC with the proper Diagnostic computer. for your car.
