Question about 1993 GMC Sierra K1500
The problem with my truck is that occassionaly it would not start when I would take it just a short distant. Get back into it and try to start it and it wouldn't fire. Waited about 10 minutes and it would start. This week it died at a traffic light and waited about 10 min. and it started again. Took it to a garage to the computer said that it may be the Crank shaft sensor. Brought the truck home and now it won't start at all. (This part wasn't put on because the transmission may have to be taken off to fix this sensor.)
Plus the fuel pump was replaced about a year ago.
Now is the time to diagnose it, no one can diagnose a no start problem on a vehicle that runs, Now someone can easily put an OBDII scan tool on it and in about 5 min know what is keeping it from running, Now Im not talking about a $20 code reader Im talkin about a professional OBDII bidirectional scan tool with a scan tool a qualified tech can watch the crank sensor and cam sensor he can monitor fuel pressure with a fuel pressure guage he can fix it much cheaper than anyone can by just changing parts from a friends previous experiences. Sorry this is the easiest least expensive way
