Question about 1997 Chevrolet Malibu
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 2000 GRAND AM AND GOT A NEW ONE FROM A CHEVY DEALER FOR ----$26 AND CHANGE. AS I'M DRIVING AND MAKE A TURN THE SIGNAL SWITCH RETURNS TO NEUTRAL BUT THE FLASHER KEEPS CLICKING FOR AWHILE, SOMETIMES FAST, SOMETIMES SLOWER. THE LIGHTS ARE NOT FLASHING BUT THE FLASHER IS CLICKING AND DRIVING ME BONKERS. DOESN'T MATTER IF IT IS A LEFT OR RIGHT TURN.<BR>TALKED TO A NUMBER OF PEOPLE AND NO ONE HAS HEARD OF THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM.<BR>ANY IDEAS ANYONE! <!-- from fixya rte -->

I had the same problem on a 2000 malibu...there is no flaser unit under the dash it is located in the emergecy flaser unit....i replaced it with one from junk yard and everything worked....they charged me $20 for the unit....don't know what new one cost....

I would just stick to standard bulbs and save all of the hassle of spending money when it dont need to be because ive had LED bulbs before and i did regret it.
