Van starts and runs for a few seconds, then stalls- I believe that the security system is activated some how. I would like to disable it permanently. I've check for fuses for this, there are none. I've checked fuse and relays in the vehicle and under the hood there are none for security system.

Hi.
Depend of the Year of your van. Model and Engine size.
It can be possible to do a By PASS on your alarm.

But If the alarm come on itselft. You can Deactivate with the KEY in the Driver Lock Cylinder or Rear Lift Gate Lock Cylinder.

If you Give me the Exactly information of your van.
I can give you all the information that you need.

And letme know Please if you have REPLACED any electrical part on your VAN, or module.
Thank' s I will waiting.

I own a 2003 Town and Country van. When trying to start the van would start then shut down. When trying to restart their is no sound when I TURN THE KEY THIS CONTINUED AS I TRIED 5-6 MORE TIMES. I had the ignition switch changed but after sitting for a couple of days I have the same problem.

Check the owners manual for the fuse location and take out the fuse for the security system.

Cant get the security alarm to disable 98 durango

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
lt. green/orange '-', Located at a the
black plug in the drivers kick panel.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

If you want to use the alarm again all you do is remove the spliced wire
un hook your battery let it sit over night and hook it back up

Car cranks fine, was running great, cold morning wont start, sprayed start fluid motor runs until either gone. fuel filter?

this could be a few things fuel pump getting weak or your alarm could of activated itself and it disables the fuel to the engine, I would try reseting the built in alarm system. first put the key in the ignition and turn on till all the lights come on and let it sit 10 minutes with the key on, then after the 10 minutes is over turn the key to the off position and wait 3 seconds and then try to start. if it starts which is possible because grand ams and olds aleros are bad for the security system locking up by them self. Hope this helps.

Vehicle inoperable due to security system lockup, engine will not engage because alarm cannot be disabled

Try this: open the driver's door (or whatever you have to do) to get the alarm to go off (activate) . Then, while it is honking the horn or doing whatever it does , walk around the car to the front passenger door and using your door key turn the lock cylinder to the lock and then unlock position . I believe this will disable the alarm system if it is a factory installed OEM alarm .

Security system won't let me start engine... I put the key in ignition and van started but died immediatley. I believe it is the alarm security system. How can I disable this system so I can start my van?

The thing that sucks is you can't disable the alarm. I had this same issue. Here is the link, you have to replace the actual board behind the dashboard, I don't know the names, sry! But I do know, you can solder them as well, that's what we did and it fixed it! Good luck!! Seems like a ton of ppl have this issue and it ends up costing you an arm and leg! http://ingriddijkers.com/CaravanPics.html

Lost remote to disable alarm on 2000 mercury villager how can i disable it and start my van

If you have the factory alarm system, you can put your key into either door and lock and unlock the door, that signals the computer to deativate the alarm. If you have an aftermarket alarm system installed, it will have to be removed and the wiring that the alarm ties into must be restored to factory design.

I recently took my 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE van to a dealership and they installed a new BCM (Body Control Module)because my doors and interior lights were not working, etc. After driving it home and...

ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS LOCK AND UNLOCK THE DRIVERS DOOR WITH THE KEY, THIS DEACTIVATES THE FACTORY ALARM SYSTEM, AND YES YOUR VAN DOES HAVE A SECURITY SYSTEM AND A TRANSPONDER KEY, IF THE PROBLEM CONTINUES YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THE DEALER RECHECK THE WORK THEY DID, THEY HAVE TO PROGRAM THE MODULE FOR YOUR CARS SECURITY CODE, MAYBE THEY DID THAT WRONG, UNTIL THEY RETEST THE BCM THERE IS NO WAY WAY TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS HERE, THE BCM CONTROLS THE FACTORY SECURITY SYSTEM ON THIS VAN, SO ASSUME THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE NEW BCM'S PROGRAMMING...

My 96 toyota camry can't be started because the alarm is activated and I am unable to disable it.

Find the alarm box (module) under the driver's side dashboard;right around feet area. You may need to remove a few panels. Find the box and disconnect the connector, then try to start it. I believe it's not cranking? Let me know anything else.
