How do you bleed the clutch


The clutch master cylinder, remote reservoir, slave cylinder and connecting lines are all serviced as an assembly. These components cannot be serviced separately. The linkage cylinders and connecting lines are sealed units. They are pre-filled with fluid during manufacture and must not be disassembled nor disconnected."Chrysler does not provide a procedure to bleed the clutch hydraulic system" .

How to replace 1989 gmc slave cilynder


Disconnect the negative battery cable.
raise the vehicle and support it safely.
disconnect the hydraulic line from the secondary cylinder.
disconnect the hydraulic line from the master cylinder.
on all models except the 1988-90 C/K series, remove the nut retaining the hydraulic line and the speedometer cable to the cowl, than install the nut to hold the speedometer cable in place.
cover all hydraulic line to prevent dirt and moisture from entering the system.
installation is the reverse of removal. bleed the clutch hydraulic system.....

Can't get pressure on my 94 hi-ace van after bleeding the clutch


Disconnect the hydraulic line to the clutch and see if you get pressuse when the pedal is pushed. if not you have a bad clutch cylinder.

Is the clutch slave cylinder internal or external of transmission?


external if it's like my 1979 Honda. Internal if like the following information:
Slave Cylinder on 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Detach the master cylinder assembly from the actuator cylinder by disconnecting the hydraulic line.
  3. Remove the transaxle assembly, as outlined earlier in this section.
  4. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder from the transaxle. Fig. 1: Clutch actuator cylinder assembly mounting 91147g02.gif
    To install:
  5. Lubricate the inside diameter of the bearing with clutch bearing lubricant GM part no. 12345777 or equivalent.
  6. Install the actuator cylinder in the transaxle, then install the transaxle assembly.
  7. Connect the master cylinder-to-actuator hydraulic line.
  8. Bleed the hydraulic system, as outlined later in this section.
  9. If removed, install the air intake duct.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.

How do you remove and old hydraulic line of a slave cylinder on a 1992 2WD 4.0L Cherokee so that the new one can be installed?


i dont think you are supposed to remove it. they come with a hose master and slave cyl all put together.
i did get one aprt once and i think there was a roll pin i pulled out to do it

How to replace the oem clutch master cylinder on a 1988 ford f-150 ,,, where is it located on the truck?,,,


Removal:
1.From inside the cab, carefully pry the clutch master cylinder pushrod and retainer bushing from the pedal cross-shaft lever pin.
2. Disconnect and remove the interlock switch.
3. Remove as much fluid from reservoir as possible and place shop rags under the master cylinder to catch leaking fluid.
4. Disconnect hydraulic line from the master cylinder and plug lines and outlets to avoid contamination and excessive fluid loss.
5. Remove the two nuts retaining the clutch master cylinder.
6. Installation is the reverse of removal exept after installation, bled the system.

Cant disconnect pushrod from clutch pedal to


have some push all the way down on the clutch than squeeze the plastic tabs on bushing to release u also need a special tool to remove disconnect the hydraulic line from clutch release cylinder most auto stores carry it or let u use /loan for free

Remove transmission assembly. Special tools required to disconnect clutch slave (hydraulic line). Need jack to lower tranny down and reinstall.
