Question about Chevrolet 1500

Having problems on cable controls for heater and A/c connections to the nob controls. Also the vacum hose from heater control vales.

yes u can remove your cruise control on your celica (sept #1 take out or disconnect the cruise control cable on the throtle body then disconnect the wiring harness on the cruise control unit and if theres a vacum hoses connected just plug main vacum supply hose and your cruise control is already disable

Air delivery mode control not changing air flow 2009 Pontiac torrent


Need more information to help solve this problem.
You mean speed of air flow or direction of air flow?
-If direction of air flow no change that mean:
1. Cable from the knob to control door is slip off or if the system is control by vacum. The vacum line is leak or slip off.
-If the peed stay same even move the switch to hight or low:
1. Bad switch.

1996 ford explorer no heat heater control valve replaced and thermostat air is blowing cold it switches to defrost and floor with no problem


there is a valve on the heater hose under the hood. its either vacume or cable operated. check to see if valve is moving. this controls the water flow into the heater core. if this is stuck then thats your problem.also if its not cable operated make sure its getting vac to the actuator

check your heater controls , there may be a cable lose or broken, or a vacume hose lose or broken,i don't know if that car has a heat control valve,but if it does you might check that as well.

90k , timing belt new @ 80k worked fine sprayed engine with water to clean dust started and ran fine nest day started but then idled up to 4k and wouldn't idle down drove it about 5 miles and got off...


I have ran into this problem at my shop. There are 3 things that could be bad. Idle air control valve, pcv valve or the vacum hose for the pcv valve. Vicually inspect the pcv vale hoses. If you dont see a tear, spray carb cleaner around the hose, if engine idle changes there is a vacum leak in hose some where. If pcv valve and hose are ok than its your idle air control valve. You can attempt to remove part and clean it but this is only a temporary fix, Good luck.

Heater in my 99 gmc 2500 is not working


They could be related but most likely not. There are two water lines which go back to the firewall from the radiator. On one of those lines is going to be a controller that is cable or vacum controlled. If it has a vacum line you need to check the vacum pressure at the connection using a vacum pump. You want to make sure that valve is opening and closing accordingly. If it isn't then your heater will not work because no water is getting to the core. In this case you will need to isolate the vacum leak back to the source of the problem. If there is a cable connections make sure the cable moves freely and in sync with the cab control. If not replace the cable. Assuming the radiator is full this valve is the next place to look for a fault.

2002 Land Rover ~ Freelander - No heat coming from the heater


Look for two water lines about 1 in in diameter running back toward the condensor unit in the firewall. On one of those lines will be a control. It is sometimes vacum controlled. When they are vacum conrolled they have a tendency to get stuck or you may have lost vacum to the unit. You can use a vacum tester and short piece of hose to test this to see if you have lost vacum or if it is stuck closed. Connect the test hose to the control on teh hose and apply vacum to the unit. If the valve opens you will get heat in the vehicle. If it does not open then it is stuck in the closed position and will need to be replaced in most cases.

Ac only blows through defrost vents


prbly have a leak in your vacume lines, have to pull the heater controlls and make sure every things conected and not leakin if its good youll have to trace your vacume lines farther
