Hi, dont know where you are but i had a similar radio problem after changing battery......... contact your local daewoo dealer ( mine is Dutton Forshaw, Maidstone, Kent. They may be able to help) tell them the problem, they will ask for the chassis no. and the reg no., they will then give you the code that is factory set for the radio that was originally in the car from new. Cutting off could be any number of faults, find a local mobile diagnostic mechanic and ask for a tune up and explain the cut out fault. Sorry i cant help more. steve

I have a 2006 Ford Taurus and the radio will not work recently replaced battery alternator and starter any suggestions on what it could be I'm check for radio fuse but cannot find radio fuse everything...

all fuse boxes, there is not just one;
and its marked RADIO.

radio will not work (what does that mean)
100% dead
asking for code
display dead or not
or display works but all stations dead.
what.
if 100%dead it can only be 3 things
1: fuse blow , i bet
2, wire cut to radio (called power B+)
3: the radio is dead, bench test it. ask

Ref 2002 scenic-since battery disconnection radio not working-can get radio on but cuts out after few mins and bleeps all the time radio on.

That sounds like it needs the code inputting! Have you got the correct code and after entering the code this is happening?

Left speaker in lancer not working

test the speaker.
connect a 1.5vdc battery to it, (yes, unplugged)
does click? then its good enough to make noise.
use a test speaker at the connector, that works.?
if not the radio is bad or the wire are cut.
to prove that, connect a speaker directly to the radio left pin.
works , good radio.
i cut the line at the radio as soon as the speaker tests good
because grounded out (shorted) lines blow radio amps to smithereens.
can pull the radio first. then bench test it.
its super easy with one test speaker . and a 12v power source.
but be careful many radios brick (shows, enter code) if you pull it.

get your radio code first and this solves this issue.
many radios kill audio only bricked, left and right channels.
but tunes ok .

Cannot change battery without setting off alarm

normal. (see, battery hacks by thieves is a detectable alarm)
see,, thief cuts battery cable, hoping alarm cant go off...... dig?
The real pro thief cuts horn,,, ask my son how he lost $$$$$$
RTM read the manual it tells you how the system works.

the FSM covers this and at alldata.com
not only that you will brick the radio, again RTM.
get the radio, code now and if Navigation option, that code too.
in fact read the whole section on , battery (search) and re-learns and codes. newer cars are ,well, fun (not)

My 05 pontiac g6 6 disc changer is reading "cd changer error" and has been for about a year now. i have 6 discs stuck in the player. i was told to disconnect the battery, followed some codes...

it is always cheaper to buy a working used one from a junkyard than to fix the old one. look around on eBay, craigslist, and junkyards. recyclers pull the radios and owners manuals out of cars and pile them in the office. so call around to local junkyards looking for a recent pontiac with CD player. you will most likely have to take a sawzall to your old one to get your discs out, but CDs are old tech now anyway. you should be able to get one for under 50 bucks, if you are not handy stereo install shops take them out and put them in very quickly and cheaply and are yet another source for used OEM stereos.

Radio display reads loc and does not work any ideas keyless entry would not stop horn so i pulled fuse put fuse back in and radio reads loc and will not play

You need to enter a radio code to reactivate your radio. When the fuse was pulled, it cut the 12 volt to the radio and the radio anti-theft came on. Try entering 0000 to unlock you radio, if your radio does not take any more entries. Disconnect the battery again for 1 min and reconnect and then you can reenter codes again, if the code is not 0000. You can go the dealer and they can reactivate your radio, but if they want a crazy amount. Log on to radio-code.com, there is a fee but it's like $24.00. good luck and keep use posted.
