Question about 2001 Chrysler Sebring
The battery light alerts when after the car is driving for 3-5 minutes.
The battery and alternator were check at normal values per the dealer, however the light still remains lit even after a new battery was installed.
Old Battery =12.05 volts New Battery =12.02 volts
I was advised that trouble shooting the cable bundle between the alternator and battery would be another choice at a high cost as a possible solution. (That is not a very good option)
Please advise how to resolve this problem. Thank you very much.
The thing that sucks about the Sebring, I have a 2001, is that if there is a problem and your car detects it 3 times, it will stay programmed in the onboard diagnostic, even if you have repaird it. The only way to have that little light go out, is for someone to reset the onboard diagnostic computer with the fancy machine code reader that only the shops seem to have. So, have it reset.
