My 92 Corolla died on the freeway. It acted like it ran out of gas. The fuel filter was clogged, changed it. Then it started, ran rough. Then it wouldn't start again. Changed fuel pump. Still won't start....

Check to see if your timing belt broke. Remove the Distributor cap and watch the rotor as the engine cranks. If the rotor spins then the Timing belt is at least in place. If it doesn't spin then the Timing chain/belt has broken and will need to be replaced. You will also have to have the valves checked to verify they have not bent after making contact with the piston heads.

1996 toyota corolla died while driveing and will not start

Does it make a different sound while cranking the engine? does it sound like its cranking faster?- Timing belt is gone.

OR

If it sounds the same it will probably be a fuel pump. - Have the pressure checked to verify this.

I got a 2000 corolla has a sound in the timing cover

Sounds like a bearing or you water pump. If you've never had the timing belt replaced, sounds like a good time to have it done, along with related components.

95 toyota corolla

If you have A/C, your 95 Toyota Corolla should have three belts. Alternator. A/C. Power steering.
