405 mi16 misfire

My 2.0l mi16 just decided to develope a miss fire. It sounds like a volkswagon and is really down on power. There was no warning, it started and ran fine, drove about a kilometer and it just started running bad. Im thinking a coil pack or something like that.

thanks

SOURCE: location of Lambda (oxygen) sensor plug in 1991 peugeot 405 mi16

1.The oxygen sensor is located where the manifold comes together and meet the exhaust pipe.
2. The second one would be located after the catalytic converter.

My 94 Honda Passport just developed a miss once I drove it on the interstate, parked it, then started it up. What could be causing this miss?

Cars develop misfires without warning and then right themselves just as quick. Could be a component breaking down (mechanical and electrical), fuel blockage, battery problem....and the list goes on. One thing that does happen is it makes you paranoid listening for every little cough or stutter, or is that just me?
If this is the first time then it might be a one-off and nothing to worry about, but I would pay particular attention to any warning lights that come up on the dash.
Sorry if that isn't much help to you.

Problems with ford the engine is missing a treat when I throttle on it sounds like a really bad belt squeal how ever ive replaced all pulley bearings and so forth and when engine squeals it miss fires even...

the squeal may be a vacuum leak or loose plug and that would cause misfiring. Run fault codes to check for injector faults. Have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check --fuel pump- pressure regulator and filter as low fuel pressure is a major source of misfiring

Code po300

Usually a code 300 is a general warning that a problem is developing. Once a particular cylinder stops producing power a code for that cylinder will be stored.
Random miss can be fuel system problems or ignition problems.
If the spark plugs have more than 50,000 miles on them you could start with that.

1996 chevy k1500 runs when idleing slight miss drives down the road fine but when comming to a stop it dies

When the light flashes it means a cylinder misfire, so you must check everything, spark, (first) injector fuel delivery intake manifold vacuum leaks and compression if not other problem accounts for the misfire.

Idling #5 and #7 miss fire. holding it at 2000 rpms makes all 8 miss fire. its running really rich and the only code its showing is P0300 which is engine miss fire. have replaced plugs wires cap and...

When there is an engine misfire it could be gas or spark related. Or, the oxygen sensor may not be operating correctly, which controls fuel supply.

If there is a 'random misfire' then it could be an oxygen sensor causing the problem, as well, causing a rich mixture.

Good luck on this repair.

I have a misfire code also, truck misses when cold, generally when it warms up the miss goes away and it runs great. Within the last 2 days once it warms up all of a sudden it will lose power. To the point...

Generally a tune-up is needed when a vehcle is misfiring. Usually the tune-up is the least expensive way to go. It could be the fuel injection or relay, but tune-up is the cheapest way to start.

Very common for the coil pack to fail on this model, also the plugs are a pain to change and are often left, try these first.
