Pull the battery cable off for 10 minutes then see if the light comes back on. If it does, go to Autozone and have them read the code and tell us what it says.

Check your engine earth. Pull off the earth lead on engine and give a sand on both motor and lead.(fine sandpaper) If not that it could be faulty engine switch in dash or engine relay switch
