Question about 2001 Suzuki Esteem
How do you change the serpertine belt?
The easiest way to change a serpentine belt is to first draw yourself a pic as to where it goes so you know how to put it back on. Then you can either undo the altinator tension bolt until you can get the belt loose enough to get it off or you can use a big spanner or a spanner with a long pipe and a mate to pull the self tentioner wheel back and replace the belt. The self tensioner should be ontop of the motor next to the power steering resovior ( small wheel about 3 inches round will be smooth on the belt surface and the top side of the belt rolls on it put spanner on the centre of the wheel and pull up) not all have this depends on the local you bought car in I'm in australia and they have self tensioning belt here)
