I have anti freeze leaking from the drive side of the engine on a 2008 Mini s clubman around the the thermostat area does any one know for sure if it's the thermostat housing or a hose that leaking?

if the hose clamp is tight it is possibly the housing, if you squeeze the hose near where the leak is you may be able to see the coolant leaking if the hose is split or has a pin hole in it

WHEN HEATER TURNED ON AND ENGINE WARM I SMELL ANTI- FREEZE CAN NOT LOCATE LEAKS

Are you able to see if it is the heater core? Located in dash on passenger side. Can often see them from bottom of the dash if you stick your head down by the floor boards.

My car is leaking anti freeze from back of engine, whats the problem

Check the heater hoses, if it's a 2.4 the hoses run from the left side (drivers side) engine to the fire wall, there are 4 hoses linked together, that's where I would start.

My 1994 chevy caprice is leaking water

will try to help. where is the leak coming from? can you tell?under the front of motor where the engine fan is? could be water pump. could be a busted hose, upper or bottom radiator hose.there are 2 hoses that run to your heater core at the firewall or dash panel, could be there. leaking from sides of engine? could be a freeze out plug rusted through or if it's gotten below freezing and you did'nt have anti-freeze, most likely a freeze plug, they are designed to save your engine block from busting when you don't have anti-freeze in freezing weather. if you can repost your problem with a location, front, sides, or inbetween the back of engine and transission, i can help you. hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

After I drive my 1999 boxter the pasenger side exterior vent smells like a radiator and vapor comes out.

This is most likely leaking anti-freeze from the heater coil. Radiator Stop-Leak may help but replacement will likely be expensive. When replacing the heater coil, don't fail to rinse the plenum thoroughly. If you don't do this you will forever smell the anti-freeze....It does not evaporate ! That's why it is used. In the thirties and forties, alcohol was the anti-freeze of the day and it boiled off rapidly....results sere seized engine blocks or frozen systems. Thanks to DuPont for Prestone. Take care, Paul

Anti freeze leaking from driver side engine block

You did not mention which engine you have but only three things I can think of that will do that. You need to get underneath and check freeze plugs, head gasket and block itself (for cracks). Leaks aren't that hard to find but you need to look!

Leaking anti-freeze from under the engine

More info needed. Is the leak coming from around the pass side of engine, drivers side of engine, radiator area or firewall area. A specific quadrant of the engine compartment would help narrow it down some. if it is leaking from the engine itself, there may be some expense in repairs (water pump possibility here.) Hoses usually are not that hard or difficult to replace. Radiators get real expensive real quick. Please update Engine compartment Quadrant if possible
