Question about 1991 Toyota Cressida

Automatic seatbelts to manual seatbelts

Hi, I would like to know is there any safe way of replacing or converting the automatic seatbelts on a 91 Cressida to manual seatbelts? If so is there any manufacturer that sells a seat belt system for both driver and passenger sides? Please help as these automatic seatbelts are a real pain in the neck.

If i were you i would try to make the ones from either the mark 3 supra or try the es250.. im trying to get it to work with the supra but i think your best bet is from the lexus es250. they share the same chassis obviously so most parts are interchangeable.

Whenever I open or close the doors the automatic seatbelts do not move. The seatbelts aren't a good position to be "Stuck" in. Please help?

they are worn out, nearly 20 years old and that stuff happens. the cost to buy new ones is more than the value of the car, if you can even find them. replacement seat belts for 91-95 saturns were over 400 dollars for each side and that was 5 years ago.

Hi Could a Honda CRX EF7 1987 /1991 seat belt replace a Honda CRX Del VXI 1992 /1993 seat belt please your comments will be apprieciated thanx

there are two types of crx currently the gen 1 built thru 87, and the gen 2 from 88 thru 91. unless you count the Delsol as a CRX which it is but is'nt but has very simular parts.
Now the seatbelts you are asking about are either door mounted or chassis mounted. If they are door mounted you will need the factory mounted bolts from the doors of a factory 88 thru 91 crx and modified door panels to accept seatbelt as well as the fact that since the door is only a half door you will have to contened with ducking under the seatbelt to exit the car due to the fact that the seat belt will now be connected to the door instead of the chassis to ensure safty of the driver and passenger, Unless you were to fabricate a plate that could hold the top portion of the seatbelt attached to the door.
Now if it is a factory chassis mounted seatbelt look you want then now you have to think about bolt placement and look very cautiously at the mount to the chassis on the shoulder side to see if the bracket will interchange without any major modification but at this point it might be best to get a 5 point Simpson harness instead.
Anything is possible as long as you fallow thru with the thought of the safty of yourself and any other passenger you may have, Either way you will have some welding to do and some well thought out plans to accomplish your goal, Nothing is Impossible, unless you want to plan a "perfect" vacation out of state.

Automatic seatbelt 1994 saturn

You may have to replace the seatbelt positioner.
Check with Saturn (or their replacement GM division) to find if the warranty is extended for seatbelts (some manufacturers cover seatbelts forever) 800-553-6000

1991 CIVIC LX AUTOMATIC SEATBELTS NOT WORKING.

I had a problem on a 91 Civic DX where the drivers auto seat belt wouldnt move and the beeper would not stop.Had a blown seat belt fuse.Replaced the fuse no more problem. The Seat belt fuses are located under the red cover that covers the positive battery terminal. On mine the fuse closest to the font of the car was for the drivers side auto seat belt the one closest to the windshield is for the passager seat belt. They are green and rated at 30A.

Seatbelt issues

It is not safe if the seat belts are hooked to the original chassis points, in a crash there will be 1000's of pounds pulling on these, the mounting may tear the body metal and cause serious injury, I would strongly recommend you fix the original system, how much is your well being worth in a crash?
