You need to replace the gas shocks that hold the hatch up. One or both could be bad.

Rear hatch won't stay up

If your rear hatch will not stay up then chances are shocks that are used to hold up the hatch are shot. If you replace the shocks that should solve the problem. I hope this helps you out.

2005 GMC BACK HATCH WON'T OPEN

It sounds like the lock actuator has failed or has a poor connection which won't allow the latch to release. What you will need to do is remove the inside rear hatch panel to access the lock actuator. Once you get to the latch use a flat screwdriver to release the latch being careful not to damage the glass.

My rear hatch light indicates that the hatch is open which it is closed tight. Because of this my interior lights stay on and my remote start won't work. How can I fix this? My jeep is the 2009...

The switch on the latch is more then likely stuck. If you can see it spray it with some electrical cleaner and open and shut the hatch a few times.
