Neutral Safety Switch. Sometimes, on some cars, they need to be replaced instead of reset. 'm not positive where it is located, but it could be on the front side of the transmission. Try putting the car in Neutral and see if it will start.

Ran out of gas and mow it wont start

You will want to get a fuel pressure tester and test pressure at the fuel rail on the engine. If you have low or no pressure there is a good chance that the fuel pump is dead. Running a fuel pump dry will cause it to overheat and burn out.

Will not start

turn on the switch, can you hear the fuel pump run?
if so checke the fuel filter, and also release the pressure at the shredder valve on the fuel rail
if you cant hear the pump run then then check the fuse for it if its good then youve got a bad pump!!!

I have a 1999 mercedes e 300 turbo diesel and need the relay diagram The problem was the car cut out instantly while on the freeway like it ran out of gas (came to idle while half trottle then stalled)...

their is no fuse for the fuel pump, its a mechanical pump inside the injector pump ,you have a fuel line broke or the rubber primer bulb thingy has split ,if you bleed it out and it still wont start then check out the stop switch on the injector pump but you will find it has a antitheft shroud around it so you can only check for a feed to this but you cant get access without removing the injector pump .

My van broke down it acted like it ran out of gas then died

Fuel pump? If the vehicle has more than 60,000 miles the likely-hood increases with the miles. There are a few factors that play in, like how often were the fuel filters replaced (recommended every 15,000 miles) and how low do you let the gas tank get before refilling.

Ran out of gas. Put new gas in it. Ran for a while...but...

This is a tough one without looking at the vehicle but your computer may need to be reset or you may have a clooged fuel injectors.
