The BANK 2 on your chevy is the PASSANGER SIDE.
And BANK 1 is at the DRIVER SIDE.
The sensor 1 is the UP sensor. It's mean BEFORE catalystic.

My chevy van 1500 express cargo has the temperature gauge stuck at 0.everything else works fine

If the engine is reaching normal temp, you would need to test the sensor on the intake and the gauge on the dash.
The sensor provides ground to the gauge.

2001 express p0420 p0174 engine codes , help diagnose !

0174 is system too lean, right bank. 0420 is catalyst sytem efficiency below threshold, left bank. fix would be either oxygen sensor or catalytic converter replacement possibly would need both. note: this veh would possibly have up to 4 oxygen sensors, but cause of problem would be the ones coming off manifolds before the catalytic converter possibly in manifold or y-pipe/down pipe.

On bank2 sensor 1 you have a problem with the internal heater in the O2 sensor. It can be a wiring connector or simply a bad O2 sensor.
The reason this heater is in the circuit is to improve the cold engine performance before the exhaust warms up. The element inside the O2 sensor could have burned out.

Depends on what the code was.If it is a po420 then it is the converter.I need to know what the code is.It could also be intake gaskets or just a bad o2 sensor.Let me know the code and I can help you find out what it is.Good luck.

P0420 code changed o2 sensors check egine light still comes on 2000 chevy express 1500 4.3L V6

if the sensor didn't fix it check the wiring to make sure it's not broken anywhere...Also if you bought the sensor at a large parts outlet it could be defective...not likely but possible...

I ran a Diagnostic on my 1998 chevy venture mini van and here are the codes that came up, P0102, P0134. What does this mean? I have already replaced the following, fuel pressure regulator, both crankshaft...

the 2 codes are

P0134 02 Sensor Circuit no activity Detected (bank 1 sensor 1)
first check your fuses check the wiring to the sensor(the sensor is on the exhaust in front of the engine-open the hood and look down) if the fuses and the wiring look good replace the O2 sensor there are 2 types of sensors original equipment(oe) style and universal the oe style has a connector you just plug in, the universal you have to hard wire in

the 2nd code is Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input
check the wireing, make shure theres a good connections
you said that you already replaced this sensor so im going to recomend that you go after the other code first

deal with the oxygen sensor then reset the computer and see what codes come back

1996 Chevy Express 1500 w/5.0 bogging only when warm.

The cylinder 7 misfire is likely a symptom of the problem, not the problem itself.

Typically, the catalytic converter has an oxygen sensor in front and behind it. When the vehicle is warm and running in closed loop mode, the upstream oxygen sensor waveform reading should fluctuate. The downstream 02 sensor reading should be fairly steady. Typically the P0420 code triggers the check engine light if the readings of the two sensors are similar. This is indicative of (among other things - such as faulty sensors in the "emissions loop") a converter that is not working as efficiently as it should be.

I do not believe that it is a problem with a valve/head gasket or cam.
