I have a 2000 nissan maxima gle 3.0 do i have to take out the engine to cjange the timong tensioner it has a rattling sound

Larry, normally engines do not have to be taken out to change timing tensioners, the bumper assy., A/C condenser, radiator, etc is removed to get access. Best if you get yourself a manual.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

How to replace head light on 2004 maxima?

"The bad news is that to be able to access the 3 other bolts that hold the light assembly together, you have to remove the front bumper. including the grill. It is really not that hard, but you should take your time to do it right and to make sure you put it back together the same way. To remove the bumber you must unscrew to screws that are located inside each wheelwell behind the cover. I found it easier to remove both front wheels and hold the car up in stands unfront. these are the only screws that you will find, two on each side. after that just remove the black self taping screws from the grill and then reach behind the grill and compress the tabs that hold the grill to the bumper. remove the grill and then keep removing the self taping screws until the bumper comes off. BE CAREFULL to not let the bumper drop as it still has your conner lights connected. you can disconnect the corner lights or just place something to support the bumper. Hope this helps you, If you take it to the dealer they charge a labor of about $250.00 plus parts." -

Trying to replace headlight bulb in nissan maxima

It depends on which side you are talking about. I took out the airfilter to get to the driver side and I went throught the wheel well on the passenger side. Some of my friends took off the entire front bumper for easier access. Either way you'll save $$$ from having them installed at a dealer.

2005 Nissan Altima

HEY WHATS UP BRO this is what you have to do i just got brand new headlight replacements for my 05 nissan altima and it looks great by the way if you replace one you should just do both becasue it will look weird. anyways i have an hid kit as well but so. what you have to do is remove the bumper take all the plastic screw things off the top and on the botton underneith the bumber then you remove 2 screws on each side of the bumper they are located kinda in the dender well then you unscrew those then you can pretty much pull the bumper off there are 4 screws holding on each headlight 2 on top one on the side and one on the bottom front in order to remove the headlight you have to take off the bumper. hope this helps oh ya and buy buy the way you should get an hid kit the bulbe size for the altima is an h1 bulb and you need to get the single beam buld. get it at and the the 6000k. The 6000k look the best and is the brightest trust me you wont be let down they are brighter and last longer than the standard halogen bulb um also and like 5 times brighter. they are 129$ at thats the cheapest price that i have seen and they are a great value and good quality just dont touch the bulb. oh ya if you replace one headlight do both it looks much better. maybe try this web site to show you a little bit of how to do it
hope this helps my email is let me know how it comes out

Headlight assy removal

First, you need to remove the front bumper cover, it's held on by clips and screws on top, side and bottom. Then you can remove two bolts on top side of the headlight, also remove the bolt on the side close to the fender, you will see this one once the bumper cover is off. Disconnect the connectors at the back of the headlight, and then remove the light. Sometimes you may have to pull on the lamp housing a little to pop it out from the retaining clip, if not then just wiggle it out carefully. Hope this helps.
