You have a bad break switch. It is located under your dash, above your break pedal. The stem of your break pedal, when pushed down, activates the break switch. When you push, the break light comes on. It is chrome looking. It is a round cylinder. That should fix you up. If you need anything else, please let me know. Thank you for choosing FixYa.

Warranty should be taking care of this problem, but look for missing or damaged rubber parts in the 'anti-roll-bar' mechanism and the rear shock absorber ends. It would help to identify which end of the car it is coming from. Make sure the sliding doors fit tightly. Try 'bouncing' the van at each corner to help identify the noise. The front struts could have an internal problem. Try shaking the front and rear wheels when on the hoist. Hope this helps!

Thud Thud Thud noise from centre rear back undercarriage of my 2005 dodge grand caravan. Can this be the rear differential? Veh only has 80000 kms.

Your Caravan has no rear differential. The van is a front wheel drive, you may have a bad brake or your spare tire under the back of the van is lose. the other thing to look for in the back is the rear shocks could be broken or lose. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help get your van running 100% again soon.

Dodge caravan sliding doors

First, keep in mind that as you begin to remove these doors you run the risk of causing serious scratches to the paint and glass, so put some masking tape and/or plastic sheeting around both sides of the door (rear quarter panel and rear glass, front door and front door glass)
I would get a Haynes repair guide since that's what I have to work from and it will tell you step by step with pictures, what to do. It's not hard, but you need to get all of the attach points unhooked to be successful. Suggest you have a helper working with you to keep the door steady.

Unlock all doors when driver door opens

It won't let you. I have a 2005, and a 1997 and my parents have a 2000 and you can't. You can however turn off the auto-lock when your car is in motion. You turn the car to the "ON" postion with out starting it, and then to the "OFF" position 4 times. Then press the lock button. It will chime. Then that should be deactivated.
