check all ignition components plugs wires coil and pickup coil in the distributor and cap this sounds like an out of gap or worn spark plug wires and components
do they stay on if you pull fuses out? if yes OK this means one of the components has a internal short to power and is getting power and back feeding to the instrument illumination circuit and powering them all.
That needs to be done on a machine and all the components of the front end checked for wear, also tweets to the specs may be needed to attain the desired results of a straight steering vehicle.
locate the motor , unhook the wires , take off 3 or 4 nuts ,install new motor, tighten nuts, put wires back on and your good to go!!! (motor should be either under passenger dash or under the hood.)
Go to faxonautoliterature. They carry original dealer service manuals. They have listings for your truck but you may have to send them an e-mail to make sure they cover the Camper Special. I've used them before and had excellent service. Hope this helps.
this is not a job for the faint of heart!! you have to remove the complete dash! the heater box is located hehind the radio !in the middle of the dash ! theres no way around!!!
It should be on the same switch as your dash dimmer switch. Turn the dial on the dash light to make them as bright as they'll go, then there should be a little resistance and if you keep turning, it should turn on your bed lights on...
im not sure if you have an in line fuel filter or not but if that being plugged i would definately check your mechanical fuel pump the diaphram could be stretched or rotten,
