It should be in your owners manual service intervals information,or i go by the 60k miles rule.Some cars now utilize a timing chain and gears like the Mazda 3,so it would be a good idea to call your local Ford dealer,and talk to the service department,as they can tell you the specifics as to whether your engine carries a belt or chain,and the service interval for timing belts.Timing chains generally don't wear out until around the 100k mark,but belts should be serviced at 60k miles as a general rule.

hi i have a ford focus 18 tdci 2009 and the other day the car lost all power eg electric i taken the battery off the car and charge it over nite i put the battery on the car and i am gettin a warning light saying transmission failure plz can some body help me thankz

I have a 2004 2.0 Litre TDCI Ford Focus which as done 75000 miles. As far as I know the timing belt has never been changed, when should I change it.


check manual, if you don't have one buy a good one if you plan on doing it yourself,  but it's probably time

Engine starts but does not rev up


Double check the timing marks on the crankshaft and cam pullies. I bet your off by a tooth after replacing the timing belt.

Most Cam Drive belts should be changed around 50K miles.
