Remove the fascia that has the lighter socket, check to see if it has 12 volts coming to it. If there is voltage, look closely at the back of the lighter socket. There is a tiny wirelike fuse built on to the lugs for the power in. If the wire is open, replace the lighter socket. The wire is actually a one-time circuit breaker, & it is fitted so that you cannot overheat the socket (like using a high-power spotlight and things like that); check for a ground on the white/black wire. Not many other possibilities.

Having trouble with fuse # 17th

From my wiring diagram power for the radio is fuse # 29 a 25amp fuse! The fuse for cig lighter also powers the DLC Pin # 16 . The DLC is the connector under the dash left of the steering wheel . This is where you would hook up a scan tool ! Are you saying by part dash lights ,that some of the dash lights are out ? Could just be some burnt out bulbs ! Was fuse # blown ? Did you cig light work before ? Could have a shorted out cig. lighter or the outlet ! To fix dash bulbs the instrument cluster would need to be pulled ! How to Replace Dashboard Lights In Depth

Cigarette lighter fuse is located in lower finish panel. From under dash on the passenger side remove the fuse cover, keep it in the position in which it was installed and have look on the print. You will find the print in the following order. Here in the following list the cigarette lighter fuse is shown in Bold for your convenience.
PANEL 7.5A

My Car Radio, Clock and lighter are not working. Is there a diagram showing where the fuse panel to this is and how to fix it?

The fuse panel is to the left of the steering column, low at the knee level. The fuse for your problem area is the CIG fuse, it is a 15A fuse.

Can't locate fuse panel for 2003 Toyota Corolla CE under steering wheel. The Car Radio, Clock and Lighter are not working.

Fuse panel is located at the left end of the dash behind a door. The fuse you need to check is marked CIG and is a 15A fuse.

Where do you find the fuse box and which fuse would be for the cigarette lighter?

Look under driver`s side kick panel, below steering wheel. The fuse will be 10amps and probably listed as ``acc`or ``cig`` -(look to the left)

1997 VW Golf Cigarette Lighter Fuse Location

Thanks, I found the fuses I was looking for. Just one note - if your fuse box is like the one in my Golf, there's a little lever on the left hand side that allows you to release the fuse box from the stand and drop it down for easier access.

Volume problem on odyseey

Check the following fuses. Fuse No. 8 (7.5A) in driver's side kick panel fuse box. Fuse No. 9 (15A) in passenger's side kick panel fuse box. Fuse No. 11 (10A) in passenger's side kick panel fuse box. All these fuses need to be good in order for the audio unit to work. Also check the power sockets (cig lighter) for power. If the fuses are good but no power to cig lighters then the accessory power socket relay is bad. Its located in the passenger side kick panel fuse box.

Toyota Caldina 2001 no power to cigar lighter, radio, clock!

Hi there
If it was the front dash mounted lighter socket you used, the correct fuse is the 15A CIG & RADIO fuse (at the end of the second row) of the dash fusebox. If replacing the fuse hasn't fixed it, you may need to look closer at the wiring from the fusebox as it's likely the wiring has gone open circuit.
Take the fuse out and check for voltage at the terminals in the fusebox with the ingition key turned to the ACC position. One terminal or the other will have 12V on it. If no voltage on either you have a fusebox to ignition key wiring problem. Check for voltage on the ACC pin of the ignition switch, with the key turned to the ACC position. That's pin 3, a blue wire, of the 8 pin ignition switch connector. If still no volatge the switch is likely faulty. the voltage into the switch must be there as it also feeds the ECU and IGN systems, so the car wouldn't run at all if it wasn't.

There is another possibility. If you have an alarm system, immobilizer or turbo timer (assuming the GTT model) these devices could be interrupting the power lines and be the culprit devices.

I assume it wasn't the rear hatch area lighter socket you used, because the fuse for that doesn't power the radio or clock. The fuse for that socket is the 15A ACCESSORY fuse in the passenger side footwell fuse panel.
