Could be a bad head gasket. An auto service center can check to see if engine gases are entering the cooling system. Test is quick and cheap...around $40. Might be a good idea before you continue to replace parts.

IF ALL LOOKS GOOD CHECK ENGINE OIL ON DIP STICK, IF OIL IN DIP STICK LOOK LIKE MILKSHAKE YOU HAVE BLOWED HEAD GASKET THAT WILL CAUSE ENGINE OVERHEATING WHILE DRIVING CAR IN SHORT DISTANCE AND ENGINE OVERHEATING.

04 ram 1500 4.7, new radiator, fan clutch, water pump, thermostat, have flushed whole system, new heads, and intake. temp gauge still showing over heating. my lazer shows 180 - 210 . is sending unit bad?

Your sending unit is definately bad running at 180 - 210 is perfectly fine and it is not overheating at all.Replace it and your problems will be solved. But make sure you are using your lazer temp gauge at the same point as your temp sending unit.If you are then it is your sending unit if not you may have air in the system at the point of the sending unit and this will cause your problem as well.

02 Galant slightly overheating after driven about 50 miles. Have replaced coolant, thermostat, temp sending unit and radiator cap

Drain the system again and try back flushing the radiator and the block - using a high flow rate of water try flush in the opposite direction of the normal water flow, ie. out of the radiator filler cap and out of the block top hose (remove the thermostat). Be careful to do this on the engine when it is cold. Also check that the radiator core is not obstructed by leaves, insects etc. If this does not work, check the ignition timing, brakes for binding, wheel alignment and even tyre pressures. All these things can contribute to an increase in engine operating temperatures

2002 sunfire overheating

Easiest to hardest....1. Check coolant level, 2. Replace thermostat, 3. Flush system, 4. Replace water pump (do you have over 100,000 miles?), 5. Replace radiator. Also, Is it actually getting hot or is the temp sending unit bad?

2001 Oldsmobile Alero overheating

I think you started out looking in the right places. Replacing the coolant, thermostat, relay and sensor are all fairly inexpensive.

I believe you either have blockage in the system (especially if you're using tapwater), or your water pump may be failing.

I would first either take it to a radiator shop and have them flush the cooling system out thoroughly, or else pick up a chemical flush kit and do it yourself. This involves more than just drain and refill.

If this doesn't work, your next step will probably be replacing the water pump. At almost 200k miles, it's probably about due anyway.
