Hyundai Accent 2001 (1,6 L) , does not start. HELP!!!
My car won't start when it is very humid or raining.(summer : July) The motor is cranking but it will not start. I had the same problem last year and it was the crank shaft sensor. It was replace less then a year ago. My spark plugs and wires have been replace last year. What can I check myself before going to the garage. The engine light on the dashboard is not on, so even if the garage does run a diagnostic check up, it probably will not give a code! Somebody told me that it maybe cause by a wire or a connector with a little deposit on it ??? ... Thank you in advance.
Re: Hyundai Accent 2001 (1,6 L) , does not start. HELP!!!
Problem solved. I had no choice, but to have the car towed to the Hyundai dealer and at first they thought it was the ECM... ... (Because it had no sparks) Which is very expensive, $800.00 in Canada... But finally it was only the power relay of the ECM... $30.00... ouf! Sometimes it can only be the ground wire, that goes into the car.
I'm posting this, so that if someone else has the same problem maybe this will help you.

Was it running before you worked on it? If so, double check your work.
Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. Did you check good voltage and ground for fuel pump motor at the wiring connector?
If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure, I don't care if the pump is new, check fuel pressure, anyway. Also, check fuel injector pulse. Only crank the starter motor a few seconds at a time, let it cool off.
Are there any applicable trouble codes? How long since over-all tune-up?

No Start Cranks Ok No Injection Pulse 2002 Hyundai Accent Easy Step By Step ... and car cut off, but would not restart. it sounds like it is starving for fuel. ... hi nice video man . i have no sparkno fuel .u think its the main? it was ...
The problem is usually the crank sensor that is faulty. Run the vehicle till its hot, when the motor does not want to crank, remove sensor pore water on the sensor to cool down, refit sensor. If vehicle starts, purchase new crank sensor.
It can be that, also, fuel pump giving out. A timing chain could have jumped a tooth. I always start, at the most overlooked place, the air filter. A very wet spring &summer, three tropical storms reached deep into the country. If you drive in the rain, 24/7, filter can get wet, & become dirt magnet.
I'd check the key at the dealership. The battery may be flat in it. Also have the key code match to the CPU checked. The security may be the problem or it may be an electical fault such as sticky starter motor brushes or a dead segment in the starter motor amature.
