You need to be more clearer with your question...not sure what you mean by "hand wire comes outside van"??? also not sure what you mean by "get buttons to open door" are you talking about the sliding side doors on your 2006 Montana.if so clean off the contacts they are located on the door post also on the door itself..hope this helps

Answer:
It's in the owners manual under power door. I believe you pull the fuse under the hood for 15 sec with the overide switch in the off position. ...(roesterman adds...).My power door was opening all the way then closing immediately. I used this method to reset door and it worked! This started happening after I had some body work done to vehicle..maybe they disconnected battery or something. Delay locking was locking doors before slider was closing too. This left the door unlocked. I haven't tested to see if this has been corrected by reset yet.
The alternator is not connected to the door locks so is a separate issue. Your issue is likely because you left the windows open in the rain and water gets into the door lock buttons (switches) and this is the faulty area. Replace the door lock buttons themselves from a junk yard. the drivers side buttons will effect the passenger side one so only replace the drivers side, they usually just pop out easily, pry up gently from one end or the other.
How do you know the replacement switches were good? These actuators work in a series...One could be defective, causing the others (including drivers door) to not work...Also try cleaning all contact points with PB Blaster, and wipe dry...Hope this helps.
check the wire harness under carpet just inside front pass door sill.Look for the white(unlock) and light blue(lock) wire splices and check for corrosion.
You gotta pull door panel find screws for arm rest, pull door hand off, you have push type retainers around panel need to get door panel tool from parts store or carefull use & bent screw driver to pry & pop off from there unplug harness connectors to panel & remove panel pull plastic dorn in front of door you should have 3 10mm head nuts on mirror studs good luck
the sliding doors on montana assuming there power have a electrical harness on the bottom track that break and jam the doors but unlikly both have this problem do the doors lock @ unlock if not check switch at drivers door
